YEHUDA SMOLAR

Practiced law for 28 years, exclusively in the area of Plaintiff’s work and concentrating in cases involving catastrophic injuries, involving trucking cases, products liability and medical malpractice cases.   Mr. Smolar pioneered the area of Hedonic damages in Georgia when he had a specific award from a jury for Hedonic damages in 1990.  It is still the only verdict in Georgia where Hedonic damages were awarded as a separate element of damages in a wrongful death case.  Mr. Smolar has received seven and eight figure verdicts and has tried cases in Georgia and in other states.  He has been active with the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has been involved in shaping legislation that impacted the area of personal injury law.  His case of University Hospital v. Brown resulted in the Georgia Supreme Court holding hospitals liable for the actions of non-employee physicians and his case in Kaufman v. Jansen Pharmaceuticals eliminated direct appeals in cases involving interlocutory issues where a party claims that a privilege involved in discovery makes the case directly appealable without the need for a certificate of immediate review.

As a champion of consumers’ rights, Robert Weiss started his practice as a personal injury attorney over 20 years ago.  Mr. Weiss’ small law office has turned into a national law firm with offices in Georgia, New York, and Washington, DC, which serves as the center of an organized network of joint venture attorneys and world renowned experts specializing in Personal Injury and Serious Accidents, Mass Torts and Securities Litigation.

As an attorney working in personal injury law for well over twenty years, Mr. Weiss understands the necessary steps to protect the rights of his injured clients. In this world, justice equates to money. We wish it wasn’t that way, but it is. If you get into an accident and the accident is your fault, then we can’t help you because you are not entitled to any money. But, if you are injured through the fault of another, the law mandates that the guilty party make you whole- in other words, pay you. The just payment of money damages is extremely important to the basic perception of fairness in the society. Weiss & Associates, LLC is a national network of some of the best attorneys in the country. We take our mission seriously. We have attorneys well versed in the minute details of thousands of areas of specialized litigations from slip and fall accidents to high-loss securities cases.  We understand your needs and in these hard times, you need an attorney who will not only listen to you, but an attorney who will aggressively fight for your rights to obtain a recovery that you deserve.
